Sheehy Motor Group is currently welcoming applications for the role of Trainee Parts Advisor.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our aftersales team and in return we offer an excellent opportunity to develop your career with one of Ireland’s premier motor retailers.

The successful candidate will be provided with in-depth training in all aspects of the Parts process and will become an integral part of the Aftersales Team. This is a demanding position and the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be process driven. 

Main duties and responsibilities to include:
  • Identify the correct parts required for trade, retail and workshop customers. 
  • Efficiently manage all telephone, email and online enquiries.  
  • Work as part of a large team to achieve company and departmental targets. 
  • Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping are achieved within the parts department. 
  • Communicate and build a rapport with  other departments and stakeholders 
  • Maintain and build the customer database through telephone calls and planned visits. 
  • Process parts orders through the various software systems and DMS. 
  • Create and complete parts returns 
  • Van deliveries as required 
  • Check off deliveries and input the information on the DMS. 
  • Follow the outlined structures to assist with inventory levels 


Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Motor industry knowledge is desirable but not essential. 
  • A high level of IT/Computer skills is required. 
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work to high standards in a very busy environment. 
  • Be diligent, with a flexible approach to work. 
  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • Be motivated and energetic 
  • Possess a strong desire to succeed in a targeted & competitive environment 
  • Can clearly demonstrate a strong work ethic with  excellent organisational skills & good attention to detail. 
  • Warm and friendly personality portraying a professional and corporate image both in-person and over the phone 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Full Drivers Licence
