Service Advisor

Sheehy Motor Group, a cornerstone of the Irish automotive industry for over 50 years, is thrilled to announce the expansion of our operations with a new state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz dealership in Kilkenny.

We are actively seeking a passionate Experienced Service Advisor to join our dynamic aftersales team and be part of this exciting new chapter.​ Initially, the role will be based at our current Mercedes Benz dealership in Carlow before transitioning to our new state of the art dealership in Kilkenny city.​ As an experienced Service Advisor you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and managing the service and maintenance needs of our customers. You will act as a liaison between our customers and the service department to ensure a smooth and efficient service process. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering a premium experience for all Mercedes Benz customers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day to day administration and management of our busy Service Department
  • Liaising with customers in a courteous and professional manner, anticipating their needs and always exceeding their expectations
  • Appointment bookings, Job scheduling and liaising with our customers and internal departments
  • Maintaining up to date progress of customer vehicles undergoing service and/or repair
  • Advising and agreeing with customers on additional work
  • Ensure customer vehicles are ready at the agreed day /time and explain to the customer all the maintenance and report work completed
  • All other relevant administration in relation to the end process for servicing and maintenance of customer vehicles including systems input, invoicing and daily management of ‘work-in-progress’
  • Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories by thoroughly understanding the vehicle and associated service requirements
  • Maintain product and technical knowledge across the Mercedes Benz range of passenger cars
  • Work with our After-sales teams to ensure agreed targets and deadlines are met

Key Competencies

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within the Motor Industry
  • Prior experience within the Mercedes Benz network would be a distinct advantage.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding.
  • Prior experience with bodywork estimates would be a advantageous.
  • Be fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Knowledge of ADP Kerridge would be a distinct advantage
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
